This April 2024 we are organising our Tenth Gathering event at Nano Nagle Place Conference Centre. The event will take place on Thursday 25th April 2024 from 9 30am to 1pm. The theme is Fáilte For All - Community Education – Places of Welcome and Social Transformation The Gatherings serve as a connecting space, networking and information sharing opportunity. On this occasion we are exploring possible aims of Community Education courses and locations as places of ‘Welcome’ and ‘Social Transformation’. These are both expressions of what Community Education offers as concrete relational approaches to addressing personal and community experiences of exclusion, intolerance and prejudice. Through the speaker insights, and the networking and discussion activities we have planned, we anticipate a stimulating morning of connection, insight and energy packed conversation. The Community Education Engagement Group is a network of Cork City Based Community Education Providers who have been working over recent years to develop and build a strong and independent voice for the 110 or so Community Education provider organisations in Cork City.
