Global Learning Festival 2020 – 2022 (online)
Shared Island Programme of INLC Exchanges - Our Learning Island ‘Our Learning Island’ is an expression of the shared commitment to promoting Lifelong learning across the island of Ireland by all city members of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities. Learning City delegations from Derry- Strabane, Belfast, Cork, Limerick, Dublin and Waterford have travelled to exchange models of good practice in Lifelong Learning and Inclusion during 2023-24.
The Irish Network of Learning Cities presented a series of jointly designed and presented events for this global online festival. UNESCO Joint video message from the Mayors of all five cities Network members collaborated in the creation of a joint video message by Mayors of all 5 cities on the occasion of the UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning 70th anniversary celebrations in 2022.
