Cork City Traveller Accommodation Programme 2025 - 2029

Item 5 The proposed redevelopment of Spring Lane, Nash’s Boreen, future development of a small scheme at Hazelwood Grove, and the proposed relocation of residents and closure of the Carrigrohane Road and Corkeran’s Quay halting sites, are all planned/proposed within the lifetime of the TAP. In addition, a Traveller Specific Group Housing Scheme is proposed for the Residents of Corkeran’s Quay , to be developed in conjunction with CENA (Traveller Approved Housing Body). The particular location is unknown at this stage, as the Council/CENA are in the early stages of engagement with the Residents. The Council are also proposing to increase the provision of St Anthony's Park by delivering 2 additional units in place of the former Community Centre to assist on addressing overcrowding on this site. * The upgrading/refurbishment of identified Welfare Units at St Anthony's Park to include bedrooms is also proposed within this TAP period.
