Air quality monitoring in Cork City

Data from the air quality sensors is hosted on the Cork City Air Quality Dashboard and provides live indicative air quality data to the public that can be accessed at http://corkairquality.ie/. The data from the particulate matter units are intended for use as indicators of air quality and as a back-up to the data obtained from the EPA stations.

3.4 Monitoring Parameters A range of parameters are measured at air monitoring stations across the city. Measurement of these parameters enables the user to determine the quality of the air. The parameters measured include: » Nitrogen Oxides (NO X ) » Particulate Matter (PM 1 , PM 2.5 and PM 10 ) » Sulphur Dioxide (SO 2 ) » Ozone (O 3 ) » Benzo[a]pyrene (BaP).
