4. AIR QUALITY OBJECTIVES AND ACTION THEMES

4.1 Introduction The Action Plan in section 5.4 sets out the methodology by which improvements in air quality shall be achieved. The Action Plan is divided into seven themes. Each theme incorporates numerous objectives and actions which involve input from various sections from within Cork City Council as well as input from external partners. Responsibility for each individual action is apportioned to a specific department within Cork City Council with external partners listed where appropriate. A timetable for each action is listed as Short, Medium or Long term. For clarity, these timeframes have been determined as:
