» Cycling • Promote the use of electric bikes. • Increase the size and accessibility of cycle lanes. • Expand existing cycle routes. • Increase the amount of cycle parking in the city. • Install bollards and edge protection to separate cycle lanes form traffic.

• Promote and celebrate cycling. • Improve cycle hire provision. • Apply a minimum cycling level of service to all streets. • Promote the Cycle to Work Scheme. • Develop targets to increase numbers of staff cycling to work, choosing healthy commuting options. • Continue to support Mobility Management. • Continue development of the city cycle network, including the flagship ‘Lee to Sea Greenway’ from Ballincollig to Crosshaven. • Align implementation of the cycling network with the implementation of the Bus-Connects network. » Increased Pedestrianisation • Expand walking routes and infrastructure. • Enhance pedestrian safety improvements. • Widen footpaths. • Increase timings for pedestrians at crossing points. • Report on the success of the increase in pedestrianised streets in the city as part of the ‘Re-imagine Cork’ programme. • Completion of the Cork Walking Strategy recommendations. • Align implementation of improvements to the walking network with the implementation of the Bus-Connects network. • Ongoing maintenance and renewal of footpaths, urban realm improvements and walking network provision.
