5. IMPLEMENTATION, MONITORING AND EVALUATION

5.1 Implementation Cork City Council has established structures to oversee the implementation of this Air Quality Strategy as illustrated in Figure 5.1 below. » Cork City Council: The elected members of Cork City Council are responsible for adoption of the Air Quality Strategy. The City Council will also approve any amendments to the strategy. » Strategic Policy Committee - Environment: This committee will have oversight of the implementation of this strategy and make recommendations to Cork City Council in relation to any amendments to the strategy. » Senior Management Team: The Senior Management Team will be responsible for the delivery of the Air Quality Strategy. » Air Quality Team: This internal, multi-disciplinary, cross-directorate team will be responsible for the establishment, resourcing and day to day management of specific Project Teams to implement the air quality actions outlined in section 5.4. » Project Teams: Project Teams will be established, where appropriate to implement the actions of the strategy. These teams may include members from directorates and other stakeholder organisations as outlined in the actions.
