Elizabeth Fort

the inner and outer wall faces. Small areas of inner face are missing. The wall has been partially repointed and is in good condition.

The short return at the northern end of this wall contains a brick relieving arch just above ground level. An opening has formed in the masonry under this arch.

Recommendations :

control vegetation; point the narrow horizontal ledges on the inner face to shed water; repair localised damage to the inner face; rebuild the masonry face at the hole in the return wall; repair local displacement of masonry in the arch under the steps leading to the North East Bastion; fill crack in concrete band under the apex of the store room.
