The outer face of this wall is in private property; inspection of the outer face is limited as it is screened by housing when viewed from the street. The inner face is accessed from a modern timber walkway. The modern mortar capping is failing between the north-east Bastion and the Redan. Sections of the top mortar coat have delaminated and are missing exposing corroding steel mesh reinforcement fixed with plastic plugs. There are a number of substantial openings in the wall at yard level secured by metal railings.
