Housing for People with Mental Health Illness We will collaborate on housing strategy for people with enduring mental health illness. Joint Work with Cork City Council and HSE We will support the ongoing implementation of the joint initiative between Cork City Council and the HSE; expansion to include further collaboration with agencies and additional focus on Local Authority Wellbeing initiatives. Cork Trauma Sensitive Cities Strategy We will ensure the roll out and delivery of Cork Trauma Sensitive Cities Strategy. We will also source funding for additional resources to engage a coordinator to deliver priorities within the strategy. Traveller Community Support We will support programmes that improve health outcomes for Travellers including the Cork Kerry Traveller Health Implementation Plan Roma Community Support We will collaborate on community development initiatives with the Roma community that positively impact health and wellbeing. Sustainable Travel We will encourage the sustainable travel and health cross-over using initiatives such as safe cycling - primary schools ‘cycle buses’. Promote HSE Services We will raise awareness and share information on the HSE-led restructuring of services, and development of new services. Support HSE LBGTI+ Friendly Campuses We will support HSE campuses and services to become LGBTI+ friendly through Ally Training and LGBTI+ programmes.

Support New Healthcare Buildings and Development We will provide support for the successful planning of new healthcare buildings and health developments in the city, including a focus on accessibility, environment, public transport and Arts in Health Initiatives. Awareness of Services for Children and Adults We will support community awareness of services for children and adults with mental health needs and disabilities. Food Growing We will support the community development work of community gardens in food growing and increasing biodiversity. Plant Trees We will work with community groups and organisations to plant trees in areas of below average tree coverage. More Accessible Sports Facilities and Playgrounds We will increase accessibility to sports facilities and playgrounds across the city. More ‘Social Prescribing’ We will support the development of social prescribing model in the city. We will build on existing models of good practice including Health Action Zones, Sláintecare, and so on. (Social prescribing is done by a social prescriber or community health worker. It offers GPs and other health professionals a means of referring people to a range of non-clinical community supports which can have significant benefits for their overall health and wellbeing.) Sports & Health for Young People We will support the health of young people in areas of deprivation, and groups such as asylum seekers and Ukrainians by providing access to free outdoor physical activities, for example, Sports on the Green.
