Skill Gap Challenge •
To identify the most pressing skills gaps in the city and, in collaboration with business representative bodies and education providers and the Regional Skills Forum, identify and implement a plan to close these gaps. • Develop a talent attraction programme for key sectors in the city region. • Support education and training, for example, UNESCO Learning City and Learning Neighbourhoods. • Support and promote alternative short-term uses in vacant properties. • Support Recreate Shandon CLG in developing Shandon Butter Exchange as a Tech Hub. • Support new and developing sectors/clusters. • Progress promotion of Cork City through the ‘We are Cork’ brand.
