Weed Control 2021
Formal contracts were awarded on 30/03/21 following a successful tender competition. Five separate contracts were awarded, with works commencing in April in most LEAs. The remaining LEAs will commence early May.
Road Resurfacing Programme 2021
The 2021 road resurfacing programme commenced on 12/04/21, with a well-publicised and efficiently managed operations covering the newly pedestrianised city centre streets, as part of the ‘Reimagining Cork’ initiative . The following streets were pedestrianised: Caroline Street, Cook Street, Lower Anne Street, Lower Cross Street, Maylor Street, Oliver Plunkett Street, Paul Street, Pembroke Street, Peter and Paul Place, Phoenix Street
In addition, the following roads were also resurfaced during April:
Oakfield Avenue (Glanmire), Sallybrook (Glanmire), Manor Hill (Ballincollig), Frankfield (Douglas), The Fairways (Douglas), Sunvalley Drive (City North)
