The theme is a tribute to Cork’s marshland origins, rich folklore, and its evolution into a modern, innovative city. Highlights include the Irish Guide Dogs as Grand Marshal of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, marking their 50th anniversary, along with citywide events from an afternoon céilí, a quality music trail, family games, and performances from leading traditional and contemporary musicians. A vibrant celebration for all ages! From the city’s historic heart to its emerging public spaces, Cork will come alive with colour, creativity and connection throughout this St. Patrick’s Festival.
Music & Dance at City Hall An Céilí Mór Enjoy an afternoon céilí with guided dancing and traditional music from the experienced players Ger Murphy and Ken Cotter. Everyone is invited to take part, no experience necessary. Dancers will be guided through each dance by dance teacher William Hammond with the help of experienced dancers on the floor.
