On the 23rd of April, as part of the Cork Lifelong Learning Festival, Mahon will hold a lively Community Expo featuring local organisations showcasing their courses, supports, and opportunities. Expect performances from community groups and even the launch of a brand-new song created by local participants—an uplifting celebration of learning in action. As the newest Learning Neighbourhood, Blackpool is making a strong start with a guided community walk highlighting local services and fascinating history which will take place on the 27th of April. Later that day, a Community Showcase at Blackpool Community Centre will also bring organisations together to share what’s happening locally and help residents discover new ways to learn and get involved.

The Glen Learning Neighbourhood recently welcomed visitors from Dublin Learning Neighbourhoods for a day of shared ideas and exploration. Guests visited The Dillon’s Cross Project and Northside Community Enterprises, enjoyed local history sessions, and experienced firsthand the warmth, openness, and fun that learning brings to the community.

Whether you want to try something new, meet people, learn a skill, or simply explore what’s happening in your area, Cork Learning Neighbourhoods are here to open doors and spark possibilities.
