PROJECT NAME: REPORT TITLE:
Cork City Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy
SEA Statement
2.5 SEA and Strategy Modifications CCC prepared a Chief Executive (CE) Report responding to consultation submissions from Environmental Authorities, interested stakeholders and members of the public. The CE Report recommended Strategy modifications in light of the consultations submissions received in relation to the Strategy and the associated SEA Environmental Report and subsequent consideration of these submissions. The CE Report was appropriately informed by recommendations made by the SEA team on foot of their review of the consultation submission relating to SEA issues and documentation. Strategy modifications made were screened for SEA and AA. All Strategy modifications made during the Strategy-development process were determined to be non-material and did not introduce any additional environmental effects not previously considered. An earlier draft version of the SEA Environmental Report was finalised having appropriate regard to the consultation submissions made during the SEA consultation period, recommendations made in the CE Report on consultation submissions, and the modifications made to the original draft version of the Strategy that was put on display for consultation. The updates made to the report were clerical or minor and non-material in nature and did not materially change the parameters of the environmental assessment undertaken or the environmental mitigation defined. The CE Report on consultation submissions received on the Strategy and the associated SEA Environmental Report will accompany the adopted Strategy and this SEA Statement, and provides exact detail on how consultation submissions were considered by the local authority during the Strategy-development process. This CE Report also documents the Strategy modifications made by the local authority following its consideration of consultation submissions relating to both the content, focus and goals of the Strategy and the environmental assessment of the Strategy presented in the associated SEA documentation. All Strategy modifications are presented in Table 2-5. No modifications affecting environmental assessment processes were made upon Strategy Adoption. Table 2-5: Strategy Modifications

The following red text has been added under the heading "Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation" in Section 2.0: The scale of publicly available electric recharging infrastructure (in terms of Power Output (kW)) for light duty road vehicles (cars and vans) for the jurisdiction of Cork City has been prepared by Zero Emission Vehicles Ireland based on the following criteria:...The Total Power Output (Kw) assigned to Cork City Council for 2025 has been set at 8,083 Kw and 26,582 Kw for year 2030 when approximately 30% of the national fleet will be electrified. The following red text under "Introduction" in Section 3.0 has been added: Neighbourhood Charging Stations: These charging stations are typically normal speed installations with a total charging speed of 22kW shared between 2 charge points at each charging station. Typically, 2 such charging stations (Total Output Power – 44Kw) will be provided, possibly on a phased basis (i.e. initially 1 charging station followed by a second depending on demand and available ESB network capacity). The following red text under "Introduction" in Section 3.0 has been amended to: Community Charging Stations: These are fast charging stations with a total charging speed of between 150kW and 300kW shared between 4 to 8 charge points. The following red text under "Community Charging Stations" in Section 3.0 has been added: There will be opportunities to expand the mobility offer at such community charging stations in line with the national delivery of Mobility Hubs to include the car share opportunities, bike share facilities including e-bikes, etc.
