Mitigation identified?

The delivery of EV charging infrastructure has the potential to generate a variety of potential positive environmental effects, including positive effects on local air quality, climate and population and human health. This proposal relates to the procurement of external operators for the construction of charging infrastructure. The construction of charging infrastructure may generate a range of potential environmental effects, including noise and dust related effects. Embodied carbon generation associated with construction may also impact the climate environment.

Cork City Council are likely to tender a number of concessions (5 years) to Charge Point Operators for the supply, operation and maintenance of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Cork. The current vision is to create three electric vehicle charging infrastructure bundles to provide competition in the marketplace. The bundles include both fast charging and normal charging infrastructure.
