Summary of Modification
The following red text under "Key Siting Principles" in Section 5.0 has been included: Ultra-Fast En-route Charging will be available in the Cork City region and along the National Road serving the city (i.e. M8 Dublin Road) and the most appropriate sites will be identified by Transport Infrastructure Ireland as part of their wider study looking at supporting electric vehicle charging infrastructure along the entire national road network. The following red text has been added to the end of "Cork City South (including the city centre)" in Section 5.0: It is worth noting that the delivery of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations within covered car parks will need to ensure their design reflects any potential fire safety concerns and direct consultation with the Fire and Building Control Department is recommended. The following red text has been added to the end of the "Summary" in Section 5.0: It is worth noting that the delivery of Electric Vehicle Charge Points on private lands that are publicly accessible (such as shopping centres, hotels/restaurants, service stations, sport grounds, tourist attractions, etc..) will continue to be encouraged through the development planning process. The following red text under "Business Model" in Section 6.0 has been added: Cork City Council in tandem with any stakeholder would obtain any required planning permission for the proposed electric vehicle charging infrastructure stations in Cork. All EV charging stations will be subject to the necessary environmental assessment during development planning in accordance with the land use framework defined in the Cork City Development Plan.
