Original plan
Continued focus on transformational projects and sector growth The updated 2022-2025 City Centre Plan builds on the original City Centre Strategy as well as the current (to 2022) and draft Development Plan. The new Development Plan sets out the policy objectives and the overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of the City over the plan period from 2022 to 2028.
Revitalisation of the City Centre as a ‘healthy heart’ for the Cork region, focusing on:
• Improvement and Development • Marketing • Management
3. Infrastructure and the economy A number of infrastructure projects and the development of amenities will increase footfall and the city’s attractiveness as a place to live
1. The city experience Cork has huge creative assets currently as well as available space for this to grow further
2. Assets and the amenities Investing in a number of assets and amenities will increase vitality and commercial activity in the city centre core
