The SPCs are comprised of Elected Members of Council and sectoral representatives, which include representatives from trade unions, business and employers, community groups, and the agricultural sector, amongst others. In October 2019, following the May local elections and the historic boundary change, six new Strategic Policy Committees were established under Cork City Council’s Adopted Strategic Policy Committee Scheme 2019-2024.
