• Objective 10.51 Strategic Development of Cork Airport, and • Volume 2 Map 15 ZO23 Airport Development Safeguard and Framework Area; • to acknowledge, account for and protect the rights of over 50 dwellings within the red lined boundary ZO23. • Clarify section 12.2 for total number of zoning objectives including ZO24 for runway extension.

Summary of Submission and Observation:
• Rezone lands at Maryborough, Douglas to ZO2 New Residential Neighbourhoods. Site close to Bus Connect routes of Maryborough Hill, Carrs Hill and Clarkes Hill/ Moneygourney Road. • The site will have access to the proposed Ballybrack Valley Greenway which will allow safe 10minute cycle to Douglas village services. • Western boundary of lands will have access to adjoining SHD Glenveagh Homes for 472 residential units. Site is within 30mins walk of Mount Oval Neighbourhood Centre. • There are numerous creche, primary and post primary school options within a 5km radius.

• Need to stop tearing down old buildings e.g. Sextant. There are so many derelict buildings in the city, they should be saved and used for e.g. housing in the city so it can be come family friendly. This would also alleviate the housing crisis. • Objective to safeguard, renovate and reuse old buildings within Cork City
