St Josephs and Mayfield East Community Associations

Summary of Submission and Observation:

• Cork North Ring Road The general lack of development/upgrade of the existing NRR is a concern and needs to be addressed. • Transport An improved bus service and further improvements to public transport are required for the area. Mayfield/Glanmire area should be included in any proposed light rail development given the density population in the area and given the big reliance on public transport. • Housing The poor quality of social housing units is a concern and a complete regeneration project in Mayfield is required to upgrade the standard of housing. • Roads and Public realm General upgrades to other roads outside of the NRR are required specifically in the Tinkers Cross area, Banduff Road/Ole Youghal Rd junction. Upgrades are required for the East Community Association facility also. • Lack of medical services in the wider Mayfield area •
