Munster Agricultural Society (MAS)
Summary of Submission and Observation:
• Future development of the Cork Showgrounds, Curraheen, Cork requires the alteration of the hinterland zoning objective for the site.
• The submission is prepared on behalf of the Munster Agricultural Society (MAS)
• The submission requires that the significance of the Cork Showgrounds be recognised in the Cork City Development Plan 2022 -2028 and that the City Council provide appropriate policy support to enable the society to continue to successfully operate in the coming years. • Specifically, MAS request that provision be made for expansion, of an appropriate scale, to long-established commercial or institutional uses in hinterland areas in special circumstances, such as those that pertain to the Munster Agricultural Society grounds, at Curraheen.

Summary of Submission and Observation:
• Submission from Clogheen / Kerry Pike Community Association in relation to Land Zoning at Kerry Pike. • Area that is zoned as ZO 16 Public Open Space covering a playing pitch, tennis courts and associated areas should be zoned as Objective 17 – Sports Grounds and Facilities as this is a more appropriate zoning that reflects what is in place.
