Volume 2 – Summary of Submissions Received

Cork City Submission No.:

Michael O’Sullivan

Summary of Submission and Observation:

• Support tidal barrier and navigation gate to protect historic city and docklands. This would remove serious concerns over the OPW walls scheme – damage city economy, tamper with groundwater causing structural damage to buildings. • Draft Plan to include support for tidal barrier and navigation gate instead of OPW flood walls.

Summary of Submission and Observation:

• The ZO 4 Long Term Strategic Regeneration zoning on lands south of Main Street does not reflect established and permitted commercial uses and restricts future development potential. • Rezone land at Circle K service station, East Gate, Ballincollig from ZO 4 Long Term Strategic Regeneration to ZO 7 Urban Town Centre to more accurately reflect what’s existing.
