• The long term strategic regeneration (zone) south of Main Street, Ballincollig should respect the identity of Ballincollig. • There is no recognition or support for the Irish Language in the Plan. • Amend education section to recognize newly established primary and secondary schools, and adjacent land should allow for future expansions.
• Plan should include more activity at Ballincollig Regional Park including reinstatement of weir and possibility of tourism development associated with the gunpowder mills.
• City Council should build EV charging infrastructure.
• Light rail and cycling infrastructure should be provided to connect the city to Ballincollig during the Plan period.
• There is a need for development of a community centre in Ballincollig, and although acknowledged in the Plan, land should be zoned for such.
• There is a strong population of Ballincollig who speak Irish and this should be recognised. • Prioritise the Curraheen Science Park
