This submission sets out a number of issues they would like to see addressed with a central focus on sustainable development goals.
• Prioritisation of public transport, cycle infrastructure (inc. Lee to Sea) in line with targeted 50% population growth • Include provision for climate justice in ch 5 • Address issues with purpose built student accommodation under section 3.37 • Public transport should be made a priority alongside the expected 50% growth within existing urban areas • Support for cycle infrastructure, including Lee to Sea Greenway, • Support for park and ride facilities, notes lack of such facilities on the northside • Seeks commitment to climate justice in Ch 5 • Support for reuse of buildings as part of plans to reduce carbon emissions • Ongoing issues with purpose built student accommodation
