Summary of Submission and Observation:
• Amend proposed policies for lands at Farmers Cross, Lenaghmore, Cork Airport and acknowledge over 50 dwellings in the immediate area through the delineation of an appropriate development boundary around the settlement. Development objectives for the area are entirely focused on the protection and expansion of the airport. Residents are unclear the implications of this zoning and objectives on their properties. • Development Plan should acknowledge the importance of engagement with all stakeholders in the area during the preparation of this Framework Plan. Existing dwellings and properties in the area should be properly accounted for in the Plan. • There is no writt en objective ZO24 for the ‘Runway Extension’. Section 12.2 states there are 22 zoning objectives whereas the Maps 24 zonings. • Seeks amendment of the following: • Zoning Objective 22 Cork Airport Infrastructure, • Objective 10.51 Strategic Development of Cork Airport, and • Volume 2 Map 15 ZO23 Airport Development Safeguard and Framework Area; • to acknowledge, account for and protect the rights of over 50 dwellings within the red lined boundary ZO23. • Clarify section 12.2 for total number of zoning objectives including ZO24 for runway extension.
