Summary of Submission and Observation:

• We are in full support of the comments and submission of Meitheal Mara in relation to the omission of a Multi- use Maritime Recreation Hub. • It is important for us as a club, a sport and a community to have adequate access to blue infrastructure in the Marina park area to encourage healthy activity and to share the heritage of traditional boatmaking/rowing. • Please include the Multi-use Maritime Recreation Hub into the City plan

Summary of Submission and Observation:

• Proposed Zoning and Amendment to Killeens Development Boundary • Our client’s welcome the inclusion of their lands as “ZO - 01 Sustainable Residential Neighbourhood” • Our clients’ site is one of only two prospective development sites within the settlement boundary and the most credible option to accommodate the (up to) 10% growth envisaged for the settlement during the life of the plan. • In addition to being immediately available for development, our clients’ site would replace the established industrial use which is less compatible and potentially more impactful to the amenities of the area. • also ask that the mapping anomalies (outlined Section 4 of this submission) be addressed in the final adopted plan.

Summary of Submission and Observation:

• At this time when the government is promoting greenways it would be important to include the building of the Cork Blarney greenway along the Muskerry line . • This old railway line is somewhat intact from Leemount to blarney and • could easily be extended along the Shournagh river valley. • It is important in many ways walking and cycling and linking our suburbs in a safe way. • In linking our suburbs to cork with a safe green commuting route • provide green connection from blarney to cork • Build a greenway from cork to blarney along the old railway the muskerry line • The rail bed needs to be preserved as a greenway in this plan and prevent further building .
