Ballyvolane/Dublin Hill Community Assosciation
Summary of Submission and Observation:
• Provision of a community centre for the Ballyvolane area. • The proposed residential and commercial expansion of the area will see a substantial increase in the numbers of people living and working in the area. • There is a lack of existing community facilities in the area - a 15 minute city will not be achievable in Ballyvolane/Dublin Hill without further investment in infrastructure for the area • Seeks that Cork City Council commit to the provision of a community centre for the area as part of the City Development Plan 2022-2028. • The submission includes a copy of the Ballyvlane/Dublin Hill and Environs Action Area Plan prepared by the Ballyvolane/Dublin Hill Community Association and Cork City Partnership.

John Egan
Longview Estates Ltd
Summary of Submission and Observation:
• Submission on Rezoning Areas of Ballyvolane to address 15 Minute City Concept, Creation of a Neighbouhood Centre and relocation of school and employment lands to suit & request review of car parking standards proposed • Also request that changes are made to Objective 10.73 of the Draft Development Plan so as to refine/omit references to Framework Plans for Ballyvolane. Objective 10.73 as written does not reflect the fact that many parts of Ballyvolane do not require a Framework Plan; as consents and infrastructure proposals largely predefine the allocation of uses and future pattern of development. • Amend Section 11.83 Draft Cork City Development Plan to omit the distinction between Duplexes accessed from public and common areas
