John Riordan
Summary of Submission and Observation:
Submission relates to a mapping correction and a rezoning request for lands located to the south west of the Sarsfield Rd. roundabout. The submission makes the following specific points:
• Areas of open space zoning are overlapping the roads and roundabout at the Sarsfield road junction on the south link road. This should be corrected. • The lands set out in the submission are currently zoned for public open space in the Draft City Plan 2022-2028. • The submission requires that the Council rezone lands that are stated to be in the ownership of Mr. Riordan for sustainable residential neighbourhoods instead of as public open space as they are stated to be within his private ownership and are not open to the public.

Eamon Ryan, TD, Minister for Transport
Summary of Submission and Observation:
• The submission welcomes the comprehensive Draft Plan, noting that many of the key policy approaches on sustainable mobility in the draft plan align with the key areas being considered in a new national sustainable mobility policy. • Since the previous plan was published there have been important policy developments which are relevant to accessible and integrated public transport, and which should be reflected Chapters 4 and 10 of the City Development Plan: • the publication of the “whole of Government” National Disability Inclusion Strategy (NDIS) 2017 -2022, which includes specific actions assigned to Local Authorities (e.g. action 108 relates to the ‘dishing’ of footpaths and action 109 relates to accessible infrastructure, including bus stops. The Department welcomes objective 10.12.a (page 311) ‘to enhance and properly maintain the public realm and improve the pedestrian experience for all the city’s users including children, family, the elderly and the disa bled’).
