Summary of Submission and Observation:
• This submission seeks an adjustment of the Marymount Campus to facilitate future expansion of the healthcare campus which will likely be needed during the lifetime of this plan. The submission highlights the strategic benefits of the site in terms of its existing use, its location in an urban area and anticipated growing demand for residential healthcare services. • The submission seeks a rezoning of the Marymount campus and lands adjoining to the west be rezoned from ‘ City Hinterland ’ to ‘ ZO 14 – Institutions and Community’ to reflect the existing use of the site and protect future use. • The submission also seeks an adjustment to the Curraheen boundary to reflect the urban nature of the site as part of the metropolitan area. • Proposes more flexible zoning objective for Marymount Health care campus to safeguard future health care and related functions at this site. • Seeks that the campus and lands adjoining to the west be rezoned from ‘ City Hinterland ’ to ‘ ZO 14 – Institutions and Community’ . • Puts forward the strategic benefits of this site in terms of its location, proximity and existing use. • The submission seeks an adjustment of the Curraheen Boundary to reflect the metropolitan status of this site. • This submission puts forward their concerns in relation to the proposed cycle path through the Glen River Park, considering that the shared path will cause conflict with cyclist and pedestrians given the narrowness of the path and steep slope and will cause serious safety hazard. • The submission suggests the cycle route should be diverted along the perimeter of the park instead. • Object to cycle path through the Glen River Park because of safety risk to park users. • Proposes diverting cycle path around boundary of the park

• This submission sets out the need for a new library facility in Blackpool village, the delivery of a library will support a number of objectives in the support for compact growth, sustainable residential development and will secure a community hub for the area in line with best practice urban design. Noting the existing library facility is on a temporary lease basis. • Highlights a number of vacant properties in the heart of the village, the Hewitt Building, which has the potential to deliver on the strategic vision in the core strategy being centrally located, to provide economic
