Summary of Submission and Observation:

• Farmers’ Cross is a settlement of 60 homes that should be recognised as a settlement and not be categorised as “other locations”. • The development of the airport should take account of the Farmer’s Cross community when it is being planned. • Farmer’s Cross / Lenaghmore should be recognized in the Settlement Hierarchy, given a development boundary and be removed from the City Hinterland; • Any new Framework Plan for the Strategic Development of Cork Airport should benefit from a project structure that is representative of the all stakeholders including residents and this should be stated in the Development Plan; and • A definition of Airport-related business should be included in the plan with respect to the Airport Business Park (and future employment developments at the airport).

Summary of Submission and Observation:

The Lee-to-Sea Greenway requires a specific objective in the Draft Plan and the absence of one illustrates a lack of ambition and inability to see the potential of the route for transport (cycling) and tourism (e.g. please note to the success of the Waterford Greenway).

Summary of requested changes and alterations to the Draft CiDP:

• Include a specific objective to design, planning and funding the delivery of the Lee-to-Sea Greenway; • Include a x-ref from the Tourism chapter to Lee-to-Sea Greenway.
