The review of these permissions confirms that objective 10.96 has broadly been adhered to.
Uisce Éireann states that the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Upper Glanmire has available capacity for 35 houses. This capacity will be breached once all dwellings associated with planning permission references 22/41343 (24 houses) and 21/40745 (20 houses) are built. Uisce Éireann states that a development of more than 35 houses would require upgrade works to the WWTP. This capacity constraint will affect future applications within the Development Plan period. Uisce Éireann states that there is no spare capacity available at present at the WWTP for development in Killeens. While the granted development in Killeens has been accommodated by Uisce Éireann, connections for future development may be unavailable. It is also noted that permission for 96 units, in combination with other construction development in Kerry Pike, was found to exceed the 10% threshold in the Development Plan, however An Bord Pleanála found that the proposal had regard to the scale and character of the village and had access to public water, and therefore was considered to be in keeping with Objective 10.96.
