[ Cork City Development Plan 2022-2028, Section 15(2) Two-Year Progress Report ]
Summary The mapping of the SDGs to the City Development Plan objectives implies the following:
• SDG 11 (sustainable cities & communities) stands out as the most applicable SDG to the City Development Plan, given its focus on sustainable urban development. • The Plan contributes strongly to SDG 3 (good health and wellbeing), SDG 8 (economic growth), SDG 9 (infrastructure), SDG 13 (climate action) and SDG 15 (life on land). • The Plan also contributes meaningfully to SDG 1 (no poverty), SDG 4 (quality education), SDG 6 (clean water & sanitation), SDG 7 (affordable & clean energy) and SDG 17 (partnerships). • The Plan makes more indirect contributions, while still contributing to achieving these goals, to SDG 2 (zero hunger), SDG 5 (gender equality), SDG 10 (reduced inequalities), SDG 12 (responsible consumption & production), SDG 14 (life below water) and SDG 16 (peace, justice & strong institutions).
