The table above provides an update on residential units granted, commenced delivered, un- commenced and pending planning permission since the City Development Plan was adopted following the structure of the Core Strategy. Cork City Docklands and the Southeast suburbs have notably high numbers of both. The location and scale of planning activity for residential developments generally matches the Core Strategy, including live and pending planning permissions within the strategic growth areas of the City Centre, City Docklands, Ballyvollane and Glanmire. Ballyvollane, Maglin (South Ballincollig) and North Blackpool/Kilbarry are designated strategic growth areas with lower levels of residential planning activity.
