[OBJECTIVE 3.27] HEALTHCARE INFRASTRUCTURE

Cork City Council has facilitated the sustainable provision and expansion of hospitals and other healthcare facilities by granting 5 permissions for healthcare infrastructure, including the provision of 5 new medical consulting rooms at the Former Sunset Ridge Hotel, Killeens. Development at the Mercy Hospital was facilitated under special legislation during the Covid 19 Pandemic. Close stakeholder engagement with the HSE is part of the Council’s remit for facilitating primary care centres and other specialist facilities as they are proposed within the development management process. Refer to the map and table below for details regarding the individual applications and their location.
