[OBJECTIVE 4.4] ACTIVE TRAVEL
The following active travel projects have been substantially completed:
• McCurtain Street Public Transport Improvement Scheme • Passage Greenway Project Phase 1 (Mahon to Docklands) • Skehard Road Phase 3: Church Road to Mahon Link Road • Glanmire Road Improvement Scheme • Grange to Tramore Valley Park Pedestrian & Cycleway • Curraheen to Carrigrohane Greenway Upgrade • South Douglas Road Junction Upgrade Scheme • Curragh Road junction upgrade
The following projects are currently under construction:
• Beamish & Crawford Public Realm and New Bridges • Bishop Lucy Park • The Marina Promenade Project • Mahon Cycle Project • Glanmire to City Centre Cycle Project Phase 1 (Glanmire to Dunkettle)
The following active travel projects have obtained planning permission and are scheduled for implementation over the lifetime of the City Development Plan:
• Ballyvolane – Phase 2 including Fox and Hounds • Knockfree Avenue – Knockpogue Avenue • Kilcully and Upper Glanmire pedestrian scheme • Viaduct to City cycle scheme Phase 1 • Monahan Road extension • Lehenaghmore Road enhancement project • Leo Murphy Road, Ballincollig • Frankfield Road cycle scheme • Ballybrack footpath and cycleway Phase 4 • Passage Greenway Project Phase 2 (Mahon to Passage)
