The parade is the focus point of a great weekend festival across the city this year, with a lot more to enjoy from Friday 14th right through to the big day. Cork city has put on a fantastic programme of music, dance and cultural activities - including some special events produced by Cork City Council with the support of Failte Ireland. Afternoon Céilí Mór City Hall Live traditional Irish music.
Experience the thrill of Irish dancing and enjoy dancing to the Sliabh Luachra, Ballyvourney Jig, Merchant and Connemara sets, the Siege of Ennis, the Walls of Limerick, Peeler and the Goat, the Highland Fling and Haymakers Jig. Everyone invited to take part, no experience necessary. Dancers will be guided through each dance with the help of experienced dancers on the floor. The caller for the afternoon Céilí Mór is dance teacher William (Hammy) Hammond.
