The City Workhouse Historical walking tour with Cllr. Kieran McCarthy. Learn about Cork City’s workhouse created for 2000 impoverished people in 1841. 6.30pm, meet inside the gates of St. Finbarr’s Hospital, Douglas Road.

Ballincollig Heritage Festival Heritage Treasure Hunt

A treasure hunt organised by Ballincollig 49th Scout Group will take place on the western side of the Ballincollig Regional Park. Suitable for Juniors age 5 to 12. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the hunt. 6.30pm to 8pm, tree sculptures, main carpark, Inniscarra Road.

Ballincollig Heritage Festival Tree Talk and Walk

A guided walk on various specimen trees with Ronan Nangle and Jack Casey, Cork City Council Gardening Department. 10am to 12pm, tree sculptures, main carpark, Inniscarra Road. Cork City Libraries Heritage Week Search and Find Take a clipboard and seek out 25 Irish bridges dispersed throughout Mayfield Library. 10am to 5.30pm, Mayfield Library, Old Youghal Road, Montenotte.
