Mother Jones and her children, a documentary followed by a discussion The documentary Mother Jones and her Children has been produced by Framework Films and the Cork Mother Jones Committee. The film tells the story of Mary Harris who was born in Cork in 1837, emigrated to Canada and became a tough union organiser for the United Mineworkers of America. 11am to 1pm, The Maldron Hotel, Shandon.

Murphy’s Farm Heritage Walk In 1726, the summer residence of the Bishop of Cork and Ross was completed 5 miles to the west of Cork. The Heritage Walk will begin and end at Murphy’s Farm car park, adjacent to the original mansion courtyard. During the walk learn about the history and the nature of the location, while appreciating the role Murphy’s Farm plays in the Bishopstown Community, 300 years later. 2pm to 3pm, meet at Bishopstown House, Murphy’s Farm, Bishopstown. The Northern Ridge, St Patrick’s Hill to MacCurtain Street Historical walking tour with Cllr.
