Fork in the Road- A greet and eat foraging fusion in Blarney Meet local ecologist Tom O’Byrne of Brand Blarney who will walk you through a section of the Clogheenmilcon Fen in Blarney village. Learn how to forage and use the edible plants and herbs. Corrinne of Corrinne’s Kitchen will demonstrate how best to use these plants and tease your taste buds with delicious bites using wild food recipes. 11am to 12.30pm, meet at 10.45am at the Carpark beside the Children’s Playground and Blarney Exercise Zone. Cork City Libraries A Walk down the Glen A guided heritage walk in the Glen River Park with author Gerard O’Brien. 11am, meet at Ballyhooley Road car park. Cork City Libraries Bran Dubh Historical Combat and Living History Society Learn about the people and crafts of the medieval period through demonstrations and objects, including the tools used for surgery and medieval armour. 12pm to 4pm, Children’s and Young People’s Library, The City Library, Grand Parade.

Cork City Libraries Glanmire Heritage Society A talk about the local heritage trails and buildings in the Glanmire and Riverstown area. 2.30pm, Glanmire Library, Hazelwood Shopping Centre.

Cork City Libraries Cycling Cities: The Cork Experience

Kevin Long of Cork Cycling Campaign will present a talk on an exciting research project with the University of Eindhoven which explores our history of cycling in Cork for everyday life. 3pm, Tory Top Library, Ballyphehane.

Douglas Tidy Towns Douglas and its history

Historical walking tour with Cllr. Kieran McCarthy. Discover the history of industry and the development of this historic village. 6.30pm, meet in the carpark of Douglas Community Centre.

Cork City Libraries Mandala Moments: Colouring Cork’s Heritage
