Description

WWTP Capacity (PE) Today

Overall design capacity o f t he wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in population equivalents (PE) today (the date at the top of this table).

Overall design capacity o f t he WWTP in population equivalents (PE) upon complet.ion o f a relevant project delivering additional capacity. Note t hat 'WWDL' or 'UWW' following t he capacity value indicates that the upgraded WWTP will have capability to achieve t he full Waste Water Discharge Licence (WWDL) emission limit values (ELVs) in the former case, or at least the Urban Waste Water (UWW) Treatment Directive parametric values in the latter case.

WWTP capaci ty (PEDUpon works completion

Load (PE) 2019

Wastewater load arising from t he settlement(s) being served enter ing the WWTP in 2019.

Headroom available at the WWTP in 2019 in terms of population equivalents based on available capacity now or by completion of a project by 2022 (where relevant).

Green= spare capacity available.

Headroom (PE) WWDLCapabili ty

Amber = potential spare capacity. WWTP currently not compliant with Waste Water Discharge Licence emission limit values but is capable of achieving at least UWW standards. Potential ava iiability of capacity in this case would be dependent on a ny additional load not resulting in a significant breach of the combined approach as set out in Regulation 43 of t he Waste Water Discharge (Authorisation) Regulations 2007.

UWW StandardsCapability (not WWDL ELVs)

This is t he current forecasted completion year as of date o f t his table and is subj ect to change. 'Post 2024' indicates that the proj ect is proposed to be completed w ithin the next investment period (2025-2029), subj ect to the planning and approval of the next capital investment plan. Note, there is no guaran tee that this capacity will be delivered if the current Investment Plan is amended due to emerging needs or chamges due to exchequer funding.

Current project completion year

(i) The headroom figure stated is based on available information on the date of issue of this table and is subject to change.

(ii) The indicat ion of spare t reatment capacity has been determined based on a standard ised national reivew of the available informat ion. (iii) A Pre-Connection Enqui ry should be submitted to I rish Water to determine the f easibility of connecting any particular site to the I ri sh Water network., f easibility should not be inf erred fr om thi s register.
