Cork City Council – Social Distancing Park Rangers Programme (Covid – 19 Response)
Cork City Council recently received an Excellence in Local Government Award in the category of Best Practice in Citizen Engagement from Chambers Ireland for its Social Distancing Park Rangers Programme - (Covid - 19 Response). Over 150 staff that participated in this initiative ensured that public parks and amenities were kept open and available to the citizens of Cork. The Social Distancing Rangers were visible and accessible to those using the parks as well as helping to contribute to the physical and mental well-being of the population of Cork City.
