FOSO-POCO: Cork City Council’s latest EU project – supported under the COSME programme – was approved over the Winter and got underway in February. Over the next 12 months, FOSO-POCO will address the development of the local social enterprise ecosystem. The project will begin by looking to improve collaboration between existing local networks and stakeholders and to support the fostering of a local social economy community.

Cork City Marathon Given the uncertainty surrounding the possibility of largescale events happening in 2021, a decision was made in February to postpone this year’s Cork City Marathon until 2022. While people are weary of virtual events, it was felt that there would still be interest in what will hopefully be the last virtual Cork City Marathon. The virtual event was launched at the end of February and already has almost 500 entries, a testament to people’s resilience an d their desire to be part of a big occasion in anticipation of a return to the streets and roads of Cork again next year.
