The following significant Planning Applications were GRANTED permission.
▪ TP 20/39418 Permission GRANTED for demolition of c.2116.76 sq m of existing buildings. The conservation, modification and restoration of the 3 no. protected structures, no. 11, 12 and 13 Morrison’ s Quay to accommodate 3 new own door office buildings. To the north, south and west of the 3 protected structures a new build 4 to 5 storey mixed use development comprising office and hotel development is proposed containing 187 hotel bedrooms, seating areas and ancillary restaurant, public bar, kitchen, hotel areas/offices, associated staff areas, changing/shower rooms, toilets, stores, bin and bicycle stores, stair/lift cores and circulation throughout, along with a courtyard at ground floor level and plant at ground level and roof level. The gross floor area of the hotel will be c. 6831.8sqm. ▪ TP 20/39001 Permission for the following Phase 2 development at Gleann Fia, Bawnafinny (townland), Tower, Blarney, Cork comprising (1) The removal of existing temporary construction compound; (2) The change in levels to estate roads and 22 no. dwelling houses permitted under Cork County Council Ref. No. 18/5562 (Phase 1) and (3) The construction of 40 no. dwelling houses permitted under Phase 2. ▪ TP 20/39126 Permission GRANTED for a residential scheme on a site at 49-51 Blarney Street and Winter's Hill, Cork City. The proposed scheme will consist of the construction of 7 no. residential units comprising 1 no. 3 bedroom townhouse, 1 no. 2 bedroom bungalow, 4 no. 2 bedroom semi-detached houses and 1 no. 2 bedroom maisonette. ▪ TP 20/39173 Permission GRANTED for modifications to office Block D permitted under Cork City Council ref 16/36773 at the Navigation Square Development (currently under construction). The proposed modifications seek to provide an additional floor of office accommodation from the previously permitted five storeys to six storeys. The proposed development also includes for terraces at fifth floor level; alterations to elevations and internal layout, permission for retention of car parking and associated site development works.
▪ TP 20/39260 Permission GRANTED for extension and change of use of former Public House to residential use to provide 10 apartment units at 21/22 Dominic Street, Shandon, Cork.
