27 Identify the key ways in which Cork City Council can further enable and support community-based tree initiatives and seek resources as necessary to implement. 28 Explore opportunities to partner with companies and other entities for Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives involving tree planting. 29 Develop guidance notes and other supports encourage and facilitate individual household tree planting and best practice tree management.

37 To ensure implementation of this strategy through 2028, Cork City Council will monitor adherence to 15 internal policies and the progress on/completion of the 36 actions noted above. It is intended to update this strategy document on an annual basis to reflect actions as they are completed. 38 At present, tree canopy cover data is available every three to five years, so updated data should be available at least once during the lifetime of this strategy. Changes in tree canopy cover on a citywide and neighbourhood-level basis will be published when available and taken into consideration in the development of longer-term quantified canopy cover targets.
