New ten-year Strategy for the Irish agri-food sector. Vision is that Ireland will become a world leader in Sustainable Food Systems (SFS) over the next decade. Agri-Sustainability – Economic Environmental and Social Statutory obligation on public bodies, about the need to eliminate discrimination, promote equality of opportunity protecting human rights of staff and service users.
LECP needs to include the Food Vision Strategy 2030- with reference to examples of food sustainability in Cork. Perhaps examples covering: a climate smart food sector initiative and/or primary producers and/or technology and talent within the agri- food sector. LECP to reference Public Sector Equality and Human Rights Duty as a platform to assess, address and report on progress in relation to equality and human rights, in a manner that is accessible to the public. SDG’s should be the central focus of the LECP strategy.
