Cork City in Project Ireland 2040 require long term planning for the delivery of land use planning and management.
LECP to refer to Cork City 2040 as it not only includes active land management, long term investment, climate action, infrastructure led development, but also integrated community development and enhanced heritage, culture, and arts . LECP: refer to the national Economic Recovery Plan, second Pillar on ‘Helping people back into work’. Pathways to Work’s goal ensures that as many job opportunities as possible are filled by people who are unemployed. Embed the ‘Housing for All’ policy into the LECP as the policy sets out to - support home ownership and increasing affordability - eradicate homelessness, increasing social housing delivery and supporting social inclusion
National policy development that maximises Cork’s potential as an internationally competitive and sustainable growth city in a best practice European context. National (and local under LECP) initiatives to ensure that as many job opportunities as possible are filled by people who are unemployed. Enhanced Policy to achieve a steady supply of housing in the right locations with economic, social, and environmental sustainability built into the system.
