LECP is forefr ont to the SICAP, as it has two key goals ‘supporting’ communities’ and ‘supporting individuals. LECP: engage with relevant stakeholders in identifying evidence-based social exclusion, equality, and disadvantage issues, developing a capacity for Local Community Groups to create more sustainable life-long communities.

Already working with City and County Council, Cork Sanctuary Movement and Cork Migrant Centre and could also be specifically referenced in LECP
Cork and Kerry 2016-2018
Build capacity in local communities through an advocacy, research, and evidence-based approach to change relationship with Alcohol . LECP could establish community buy- in for such projects.
Northwest drugs taskforce
Include in LECP to strengthen existing partnership in and with communities and build new partnerships to tackle the problems of drug misuse. Give evidence-based outcomes.
