National Disability Inclusion Strategy (2017-2021)

Inclusivity is a core theme of the National Disability Inclusion Strategy. Inclusion with respect to education, employment, health and well-being, person-centred disability services, housing, transport and accessible places, equality and choice mean it is a relevant strategy for the LECP to refer to could provide local evidence of supports. Volunteer supports for example.

National Dementia Strategy

National Dementia Strategy is another strategy the LECP could provide local evidence of supports for those with dementia, their families, and carers. Inclusivity and equity key themes and volunteer supports could be used as examples.

National Carers Strategy

National Carers Strategy is a strategy the LECP could provide local evidence of supports for those who care for older people, children and adults with an illness or a disability. Volunteer supports, fundraisers etc for example.

Sláintecare Implementation Strategy and Action Plan 2021-2023

LECP should refer to Sláintecare Implementation Strategy and Action Plan 2021- 2023 as Workstream 1 and 2 ‘Healthy Living’ and ‘enhanced Community Care’ overlaps with other strategies such as the Roadmap for Social Inclusion 2020 – 2025 and National Carers Strategy. Community and Care is at the heart of this strategy and should be referred to within the LECP.
