Embed into the LECP the policy of People and Place plays within tourism i.e. examples how Local Cork communities have contributed to tourism, Tidy Towns, festival organisation, and local amenity development etc.
In the LECP, make communities more aware and educate them about: -deposit and return scheme for plastic bottles,
Waste Action Plan for a Circular Economy
-measures to support the development of indigenous treatment capacity supporting national economic recovery. -reduce the use of single use plastics
In the LECP refer to Priority 3: Social and Economic Recovery and Job Creation. Emphasise 3.1 - Work Placement Experience Programme 3.8 - Increase the Provision of Social and Affordable Housing through progressing the Affordable Housing Bill and the Land Development Agency Bill; 3.9 - Progressing the strategic Healthcare reform agenda set out under Sláintecare Include in LECP the “Town Centre First” policy as local communities and local businesses can reimagine and shape the future of their town/ village through the development of a Town Centre First Plan (with the support of a dedicated Town Regeneration Officer and their Local Authority).e.g Skibbereen
